Biography

Elena received a PhD in mathematics from University of Turku in 2007. After her PhD, she spent a few years as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Finland and Canada working on several projects in the fields of Computational Systems Biology and Data Science in Biomedicine. The focus of her research was on the development of predictive models and tools used to extract actionable information about certain biological processes. Currently, she is a Research Scientist within Varian Medical Systems Finland, a world leader in radiation oncology treatments and software.
