Biography

Anna-Maria is passionate about using data to answer questions in biomedicine. Her background is in academia, having worked in a molecular biology group and a bioinformatics group at the University of Helsinki and a pharmacoepidemiology project at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. She has then moved to the private sector and stayed close to medical and health data, working as a data scientist at Terveystalo, Hintsa Performance and now recently at Mehiläinen. She has an M.Sc. (Tech.) in Chemical engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology (currently Aalto University) and a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Helsinki.
